Sounds like Commish Beebe had an interesting postgame last night

The Pelini brothers were none too pleased according to this article:

Omaha.com - The Omaha World-Herald: Big Red Today - Heartbreaker's haze sees anger and confusion

I understand the heat of the moment. But I also know that those replays were up on that huge HD screen hanging over the field. It was obvious that there was one second left in the game and it was the right call. There is no need to embarrass yourself after an obviously correct call. Think Mike Sanford.

Boy, that resembled the reaction of a 12 year old losing a basketball game.

If roles reversed, big screen or not, Texas gets the call. The BigXII won this one again.

Agree, the Pelini brothers and phrase "emotions under control" aren't used used in the same sentence very often.

Pure class by the Pelini brothers. It couldn't have been more obvious that there was 1 second left. I would hope that our coach and staff would take a loss like that with more class.

That makes at least 3 big 12 north teams that have at least partial fan-bases ****** about the Big 12 right now. Mizzou for the potential Insight snub. ISU for Beebe backing Mizzou in the Insight bowl. And Neb. for feeling they got hosed at the end of the game. Not looking good for Beebe IMO.

They might as well be arguing that the final field goal was wide left...

Really? If it was blatantly obvious that there was 1 second left on the clock...there is no way the Big 12 would reverse the call.

Don't forget that 1 second cost the Big 12 millions of dollars because a NU win would have led to 2 Big 12 teams in the BCS. But they got the call right.

Has anyone talked about the horrible play call by Texas. Could have been a sack or what happened or int. Does Brown know you can call a timeout and kick a field goal on 3rd down. Great recruiter horrible game manager will be completly outcoached by Saban. I know that Mack has a title but Vince gave him that.

    Classic Meltdown.

Kudos to the search committee Pollard hired that informed him to stay as far away from Pelini as possible. Fail on the Chizik recommendation though.

Yeah if you watch that last play you wonder if Suh wouldn't have busted his tail to pressure McCoy forcing Colt to throw the ball out of bounds that time would have run out because McCoy wouldn't have thrown it so quick I think. Almost felt like Nebraska was punished on that play for playing hard.
