    Dog obedience training?

    Hi guys,

I'm planning on getting a puppy soon and would like to start obedience classes with him. Looking for suggestions of good obedience training businesses in the Ames area.

    Thanks a ton!!

In all seriousness, I would also recommend cyclone kennels for obedience training (unless you are looking for training a hunting dog?). If you're looking for a really good vet in Ames, All Pets Animal Hospital was really good to us and took awesome care of our dogs, wish we could still go there but we moved.

    Re: Dog obedience training?

Same place I used. My bulldog is far from obedient but he did improve by going to class. All the other dogs seemed to improve during class at a much faster pace so I attribute that to bulldogs being stubborn and mine being more stubborn than a normal bulldog.

    Re: Dog obedience training?

Thanks everyone! Not a hunting dog. I just really want to make sure I have a well trained dog from the start. It seems like obedience classes make training much easier and faster than trying to do it all on your own. I just want to have a good family dog...can't stand going to someone's house and getting jumped on by a dog with poor manners...
