    Harbaugh to KU?

    Kansas:
On November 17, FootballCoachScoop had BREAKING NEWS and FIRST TO REPORT that Athletic Director Lew Perkins was working on a buyout and that
Head Coach Mark Mangino would no longer be the Head Coach at KU. Than on December 1, FootallCoachScoop had
    BREAKING NEWS and the FIRST
    TO REPORT
the announcement of the firing will take place in the next few days as a deal has been completed between University and Mangino. Again, our
source has confirmed that Stanford Head Coach, Jim Harbaugh, is the leading candidate to replace Mark Mangino at KU.

    Kansas:
Our sources tell us that Head Coach Mark Mangino will have the press conference today at 4 pm to announce he has been fired.

    Kansas:
Our sources have confirmed that Athletic Director Lew Perkins focus is on Jim Harbaugh (Stanford Head Coach) to replace Mangino. According to our
sources, Perkins is also interested in talking with Larry Fedora (Southern Mississippi Head Coach), Kevin Sumlin (Houston Head Coach), Brent Venables
(Oklahoma Defensive Coordinator), Butch Jones (Central Michigan Head Coach), Tuner Gill (Buffalo Head Coach), and Chris Petersen (Boise State Head
    Coach).

Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

    Re: Harbaugh to KU?

That would be a lateral move at best for Harbaugh if he left Stanford for KU. He has it made at Stanford and is bringing in a very good recruiting class next year.

Hmm... living in the Bay area as a millionaire coaching a team on the rise in the Pac 10 or.....living in Lawrence, KS coaching a team that is always second fiddle to basketball in those parts.

    No chance.

    Re: Harbaugh to KU?

No way Harbaugh would have to give up his $50,000 bathroom at Stanford for that trough Mangino used...

No one comes to Stanford's games, except against Cal and USC. Their support sucks, and I can see why Harbaugh might look around.

Harbaugh should wait around for that USC job to open up, he already has a pretty good record in the Colosseum.

    Re: Harbaugh to KU?

Lateral move...and I don't think it happens. Again, what established coach would want to work under Perkins? And who would want to move to Lawrence, Kansas from California?

His ex-wife and kids are still there (probably doesn't care about the ex but he is very much devoted to his kids). No chance he moves to the midwest.

I don't see a coach like Harbaugh leaving Stanford for a school in the Big 12 north that has a track around it's stadium.

I just fail to see how that's remotely logical on his part.

No way. FB is second fiddle there. Plus, they have a track running around that field. He is staying at Stanford.

He's definitely looking, but not like the situation is much better in Kansas, even when their team is good.
