    Season Tickets Math

I was just thinking about where we could finish out with season tickets.

As of right now we are at 30,113
Say the extra 800 student tix are bought up = 30,913
    Now, say we sell 10 tix a day until gameday (168 days x 10 = 1680)

    bringing the total to 32,593

I would say that 10 tix a day, on average, is very low. I'm hoping it's more around 20-30. If it is, we're looking at around 35,000 season tickets sold. And that's a number I can get excited about!!

Another thing to remember is the $99 south endzone seats last year. These 3,000(?) seats sold out in a month. I have no idea what the renewal rate on these seats will be but all non-renewed tickets in that area will go onsale in May. You can bet the farm that any of those tickets remaining from non-renewals will sell out fast.

Nice, I didn't even think about that.

I would also expect Pollard to come up with a promotion that will sell even more tickets. I have no idea what it would be but that's why he is an AD genius and I'm not.

I'd expect season ticket sales to pick up closer to the season, as well. Casual ISU fans will decide they want to go to the Iowa game and start scooping them up. :P

I think so too. 34,000 would be the absolute lowest number I would predict.

I think we will sell more or less depending on the spring game turn out. I won't be surprised if our spring game is better than our expectation this year.

I also think that the endzone tickets will sell out farely quickly after the remaining tickets go on sale on May 1st. One thing that was not mentioned is that the price for next year's season tickets is not $99 but they increased to $125. That might slow down the sales of them slightly but I still expect them to sale out.

I don't think the $26 increase will affect sales of the endzone seats at all. Regular season tickets increased $90 and Varsity tickets $70 so everyone knew an increase in those tickets was coming as well.

    Re: Season Tickets Math

I think Pollard may have another ace up his sleeve for season tickets, leading right up to the Iowa game. I wouldn't be surprised if he sells them at a "discount" price after the Kent State game, and the UNI game (I think that's before Iowa too).
