    NW loss presser thoughts

Is anyone else surprised how Brackins and McDermot acted like the NW loss was not a big deal? I would like to see some regret or passion.... not just shrug it off. This was a game in which we were the better team. Hopefully the team hurt for a few days and learned something.... but I am not getting that vibe. If we shrug off/ every loss, I'm afraid we will never have that winner's mantality. Thoughts?

It's early. If they lose to UNI you will see the edge in the post game interviews.

    Re: NW loss presser thoughts

Let it go. It was a loss not the end of the world. A lot of great teams lose games. You can't honestly believe they don't care whether they win or not? That rediculous, of course they do. We all want to win. They had an off night. Do I think they are a better team than NW? Yeah, but they lost, it happens. They're learning to play as a team. Get over it, you can't let NW beat you twice, you've got to move on. Thank god, the players know this better than most of our fan base.

I wonder if Gilstrap and Brackins being sick had a lot to do with the loss.

I heard McD went home and kicked his dog. Just didnt want to show emotion and get the troops down Seriously, NW was on a high, they did just beat ND the night before with their AA. Did anyone think they were going undeafeted?

    Re: NW loss presser thoughts

I am all-in on GMac. He's a great basektball coach. However, my perception of him over the years is that he is respectful of the media and he is respectful of our fans but he does not thoroughly enjoy interacting with the media or thoroughly enjoy interacting with fans. That's o.k. -- you are not going to love every aspect of your job. Compare that to BF who I think absolutely loves interacting with fans. BF also loves interacting with the media but has no tolerance for dumb questions when his team is losing (half time of Iowa game last year or after this year's Drake loss are examples). Again -- these are just my perceptions. Go Cyclones!

Probably because it was held two days after the game? They've had enough time to deal with it and they should be 100% focused on UNI by Monday
