Honestly, I think that would seriously increase the national interest in the game.

He could then just change his mind after they accept the bid.

Paterno isn't actually alive right now, they've been playing a Weekend at Bernies prank on us for 5 years now.

Re: A way Penn St. can get a BCS Bowl

The selection order for the BCS, assuming Texas beats Nebraska will be Sugar, Fiesta, Orange, Fiesta, Sugar. The Sugar is going to take the loser of the SEC Championship game. It really depends on what the Fiesta does with their pick. I'm not so sure they would take Iowa, especially if there are 3 undefeated teams out there. Than, given your scenario, the Orange could take Penn State.

Re: A way Penn St. can get a BCS Bowl

The biggest way Penn State gets a BCS game is because they draw more TVs than Iowa, and will travel about the same, if not better. Iowa's biggest plus is the large transplanted Iowan population in Phoenix. Boise and TCU will both get at-large bids, IMO, and one of either Iowa or Penn State will as well.

Boise vs TCU had a crowd last year of 36,000

If you have a problem - if no one else can help - and if you can find
them - maybe you can hire: The A-Team.

Only if Bowden leaves first (possibly Tuesday). How about they both say they will leave but have to play each other in a bowl game this year. That would make news for sure.

That is the #1 reason the Fiesta Bowl WILL NOT take TCU with their #1 pick. The 08 Poinsettia Bowl rematch would be a disaster in terms of fan travel.

The Fiesta also will not take Cincy with their first pick (if you watched the 08 Orange Bowl, you understand why - Cincy only sold around 13,000 tickets to the Orange Bowl).

The Fiesta's first pick will be the Big Ten's at large team.....from what I've read, that is likely to be Iowa. Right now it seems that the Fiesta favors picking Iowa and the Orange favors picking PSU....luckily for Iowa fans, the Fiesta picks first.

Ok. St. losing pretty much punched Iowa's ticket from what I've heard.

Yeah this pretty much sums it up.

The only thing that could change that is if the Fiesta takes Boise State first based off the 2007 game. I know the Fiesta wants Boise State, but I'm sure they will roll the dice and take Iowa first and hope that the Orange does not take Boise State.

Re: A way Penn St. can get a BCS Bowl

So would the Big 10 have three teams in the BCS, or is it OSU in automatically, and then either Penn State or Iowa with either Boise or TCU getting rammed up the you know what?
