    Practice schedule

Is the football team currently allowed to practice and what is their practice schedule? I know a lot of coaches talk about that extra month of practice preparing for a bowl game, but at this time there isn't a guaranteed bowl birth and the last game was a week ago. Just curious, thanks

Yes they can. Had last week off so I'm guessing they get back at it today as many didn't get back to Ames until last night...

    Re: Practice schedule

As long as you are eligible to be selected for a bowl, you can continue to practice until bowl selections are made. If you are not selected for a bowl (*cough Iowa 2007 *cough) then you have to stop practicing at that time.

From what I have been told, the practices this week do not count against the alloted bowl practices that the team gets.

    Re: Practice schedule

They never practice on Mondays, so I'm guessing they'd get back at it tomorrow. Today they'll probably just make sure everyone is back and whatnot.

Ripping Iowa for missing a bowl in one season when we're in our first bowl in 4 years? Really?

I read that cough cough as insinuation that they practiced when they weren't supposed to.

Daily said today that the coaches will get back from recruiting and start practice on Wednesday.

NHL teams need to be added to the favorite teams section.

    Re: Practice schedule

I believe that no matter which bowl you are in, you get 15 practices. That's not to say that there won't be film sessions, meetings and "optional" work outs/ walk throughs.
