    Craig Brackins This Weekend

12 for 34 shooting for FG. i.e. like 36%. I saw both games and he was missing shots he pretty much always makes.

This is one of the reasons I think this weekend is a fluke. Unless CB lost all his skills around the rim overnight

    Re: Craig Brackins This Weekend

Who would have thought Craig would lose the tournament MVP award to a 12 year old kid?

Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good.
    Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better.
    Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step.

My ignore list: splitidentity, tarheelhawk, superdorf, clones_jer. That is all.

    Re: Craig Brackins This Weekend

If I was CB, I would take a picture of that kid from ND and post it in my locker to remind myself to play EVERY game. That kid just made a "potential all-american" look like a benchwarmer...

Yep, this thread has just been pwned.

Have you heard of a term "Shooting slump"?

And a shooting slump can last a long long time.............

I was under the impression that Craig was sick this weekend. I heard at least one person say that he was late coming out to warmups on Friday night and he sounded like he didn't feel great after that game. That could explain a lot of the shots that wouldn't go in and the missed free throws.

Craig looked like he could punch a rhino out during this game. He was most displeased. He will get out of the slump, he just needs to keep cracking at it.

    Re: Craig Brackins This Weekend

    2 things with Craig:

    1) He had ALOT of shots rim out. On most nights, those shots will fall for him. Basketball is a game of bounces.

    2) You could tell there at the very end he was getting ****** and I liked it. At about the 2 minute mark he got the ball on the block on Doogie Howser guy, took one power dribble, and powered it up over him. It is not often you see Craig do a power move like that, but it was a good sign.

    Re: Craig Brackins This Weekend

It's just like it's always been with Brackins against the good teams. If he plays well, we have a great chance to win. If not, we lose. I would like to see him focus on getting his points in the paint, but I've been saying that for three years.

Shurna made TWO "potential all-americans" look like benchwarmers. He had an even better game against Harangody on Friday.

If I was cb however, I would give a **** about winning some early season games that help our chances of making the tourney.
