    No Mention of These 2

There are so many discussions about possbily coaching changes this college offseason but there have been two coaches with no mention yet.

    Gary Patterson
    Chris Petersen

Would these two coaches leave TCU and BSU for possible greener pastures of Louisville and rumored schools like Notre Dame, Michigan, Florida, Oklahoma, Stanford, LSU, Cinci, Kansas, etc...???

I say if the $$ is right, anything is a possibility but would they leave their schools where they have records of 73-27 and 33-3 and are coming off of their best years yet as a coach?

I could see Patterson leaving - but it would have to be a Big 12 South school. The reason TCU is so good is because he can recruit the Texas kids snubbed by the Big 12 South schools and that want to stay in-state - I don't think he would give up that kind of edge unless the job was really tempting. I think Peterson knows how sweet a deal he has at Boise St. and realizes that he can live comfortably in Boise for as long as he wants.

I remember that we talked amongst ourselves here on CF about Patterson as an option. It was pretty easy then to see that he had a really good thing going, though we didn't all see this season coming (I don't think I did).

It would have to be a very perfect situation for either one to leave, I think.

I don't think Patterson is ever going to leave TCU. If he didn't take K State job last year, he's not going to take any job.

And Peterson ought to look to Dan Hawkins and realize the dangers of leaving Boise.

I agree. If this season wasn't working ideally for the BCS, Patterson would have a NC shot. Chris Peterson will get one at some point. I could see them leaving, but it would have to be a good situation like if Meyer left for ND and FLorida came calling.

It's all snark from here on out

Chris Peterson has been rumored for some time that he will become the new head coach at the U of Virginia.

I think that would be a big step down for him.

You're right... the most successful people in this world usually cower in fear of failure and never take calculated risks.
