EVANSTON, Ill. – Alison Lacey led the Iowa State women’s basketball team with 25 points as the Cyclones knocked off College of Charleston 68-50 Saturday afternoon and claimed the title of the Doubletree White Invitational at Welsh-Ryan Arena.

Iowa State improved to 3-1 on the season while playing all 12 players for the second straight day. College of Charleston fell to 4-2, after knocking off Northwestern in the first day of the tournament. Lacey and Kelsey Bolte were named to the all-tournament team.

The Cyclones scored 42 points in the second half, to earn the win, after a tight first half of action. Lacey was 5-for-9 from long range in the contest, and added five assists and five rebounds. Anna Prins was the only other Cyclone in double figures with 11 points. Bolte led the ISU charge on the glass with eight rebounds.

Iowa State shot 62.5 percent from the field in the second half and 48.1 percent for the game. The Cyclones finished with 10 three-pointers on 20 attempts. ISU also outrebounded Charleston 34-29. The Cougars were led with 13 points by Jade Hughes. They shot 38.5 percent from the field and 38.9 percent from beyond the arc for the contest.
