    Big 12 Basketball Tournament

Who plans to go this year? When's the deadline to order tickets again?

We went last time and want to get a hotel downtown this time so we are walking distance from everything. Anyone have some good recommendations/reviews on hotels in downtown KC? Specifically wondering if anyone knows of some "hidden gems" or places that have suites. We may have more than 4 of us going so having a hard time finding a place downtown that has a 2 bed suite plus a fold out sleeper couch. Most suites are 1 bed it seems like. Figure a suite should be cheaper than getting 2 rooms. I can find them in the Plaza or Westport but not really wanting to stay in those areas this time.

Hyatt Regency Crown Center is probably one of the closest one to the P&L. Its only like half mile away. If you are thinking about bigger rooms/suites, I would stay at Residence Inn Kansas City Downtown..... They have bigger rooms available.

I will be at BIG 12 tourney for sure.... since its only 40 minutes for me to get there and cheer for my CYCLONES. Make the reservation early since there will be tons of people coming in plus there is another conference (school related one) in KC that week.

Stay at Hotel Phillips if you have the chance. It is right on top of the Power and Light district and in walking distance to Sprint.

    Re: Big 12 Basketball Tournament

Residence Inn is probably a touch farther south than we like plus looks like they are booked for those dates already. Hmm, Hotel Phillips doesn't look like a bad option. Assume you have stayed there before Jay? The executive with 2 queens looks like a possibility.

Problem is I know we have a solid 4 going at least but that could expand anywhere from 1 to 3 more which is why booking a hotel right now is becoming a pain. With 4 options are easy, even 5 is doable with an air mattress but 6 maybe even 7 probably means 2 rooms. With 5 or 6 just looking for a spacious place with 2 beds and a couch really.

Yes we stayed in a room with 2 queens for the KSU game. We had 4 adults and the room was plenty big.
