    The Rematch

Kansas vs Texas for the championship.

I know the odds of that happening aren't great, but I had a hard time picking one of them to get beat.

    Re: The Rematch

I like Texas too but with the way they choked away both those HUGE leads against KU recently, I can definitely see them getting beat.

    Re: The Rematch

KU is always good for a choke in the NCAA tourney. No matter if I take them to the final 4 or have them upset in the Sweet 16 they alway seem to do 1 or the other every year to mess up my brackets.

    Re: The Rematch

Texas only has two players. After carrying the team for long enough Durant gets tired. It was apparent in both Kansas games. He scored at will in the first half and was relatively ineffective in the second.

Kansas will fold up as easy as one of those ab machines that goes under your bed. I like Texas, but if they run into a Tim Floyd type team, Durant could get shut down.

    Re: The Rematch

My first bracket came out with a KU-TX matchup too - I fill out 5 or so of these things every year and last year was the first time I ever finished in the money.

I have the "lucky 3" from the big 10 bowing out in the first round - so I'm a little biased.

Relative to what? Himself? He still had like 15 points in the 2nd half.

Texas can beat any team in the country with Durant. He is that good. But the road the the Final Four is a tough one, especially in their bracket. But I do think if you pick Texas and Kansas in the Final Four, you've got a good chance of at least hitting one of them.

    Re: The Rematch

would it stun anyone if kansas ended up being the first to lose a 1-16 matchup (considering the choke jobs the last several years)?

Yes, it would, considering they're playing the winner of the play-in game. They get either the 64 or 65 seed!

That said, I'll be making a t-shirt to commemorate it if it happens - it will become my march madness uniform.

Well, yeah. When you account for half of your team's offense though it really hurts when you are only good instead of great.
In the first half the championship game Durant moved a lot, got rebounds, and came off of screens to get the ball in good possition. In the second half he didn't move as much and was not nearly as effective. I think he will be worn out by the time they play North Carolina.

It was also his 3rd game in 3 days...I'm guessing he was worn out.

In the NCAA, the you will play 2 games in 3 days and then have like 5 days off. He'll be refreshed by then.

I think Texas can win it all but with so much parity in the league, I think there will be a ton of busted brackets when its all said and done.

    Re: The Rematch

I hate KU and their fans as much as you guys but their team this year is a lot deeper than their good teams in the past. I mean they have Collins coming off the bench for goodness sake. I'll be surprised if they don't get past the sweet 16.

    Re: The Rematch

I am very interested to see how A&M, Texas and Kansas do in the dance. I think all three are very good teams - Kansas a little better than A&M and Texas with these two being pretty even.

I do think A&M could be the better tournament team as they play great defense and have Mr. Money Law. If A&M is down 2 with 10 seconds to play - I'd rush money to Vegas for an A&M win. Who else shoots around 70% in the last 3-4 minutes of games? Especially when many of those shots come from the perimeter. I've never heard of such a thing.

Plus, I look at the road A&M has to the Elite 8 and I think...it's not that tough.

    Re: The Rematch

I have a hard time seeing anyone beating KU when they are "on". Given their history though I wouldn't be surprised if they lose. They have pro's at every position, the talent level is unbelievable.
