    Pitman is a BEAST

Texas looks strong down low. Pitman is a monster, looks like he is going to be a tough match up for everyone this year.

Agreed. It's a good thing we have a few decent big men ourselves. The key will be to make Tejas flustered and take a bazillion ill-advised 3-pointers like they did against Iowa tonight. Don't worry, I just knocked on wood. Those ill-advised 3-pointers will not fall against us.

Im not sure Im all that worried about him. We have a few thieves that could cause trouble for a big man trying to hang onto a ball. I just hope we dont get into foul trouble.

Texas is athletic and has some very skilled ballplayers, but I would make those guys shoot outside shots all day. Bradley & Hamilton are their best shooters and they're true freshmen. If James & Johnson & Balbay want to hang out on the perimeter, let 'em.

The other thing I find surprising is that Pittman is basically their only big guy. James and Johnson can play the post, and are plenty strong, but Pittman is the only guy who played last night (more than 3 minutes) who is over 6'7".

So when Pittman goes out, they become a very perimeter oriented team, with mainly young guards who can have poor shot selection.

    Re: Pitman is a BEAST

Was it his missed dunk that made you think this due to how far the ball bounced? Unfortunate part for him is it didn't go through. Also do you really call any post player a beast going up against what Iowa has for posts?
