    Suspected and now supported by reason.

    Next study should be on how the ratio works when a higher ranked team plays a lesser.

    Or take a step further and document what % of fouls or calls are correct.

    Foul calls are so subjective that documenting something like that would be impossible. Even in hindsight with replay you wouldn't have a consensus on foul call in many cases.

    Great post. There are so many variables that would be impossible to measure. But...then again I love me some Steve Welmer.

    They forgot some errors and ommissions:

    *Kansas gets all the calls, all the time. Especially when a visiting player has two foul shots....misses the first one, KU rebounds and goes for a three....hits it, and gets to keep the 3 points....only to finally have the second shot take place.
    (looks like they missed that game in their little study.)

    *Iowa State gets "jobbed." - See Regional Final in 2000.
