Kansas State got hosed. They finish 10-6 in the conference, beat Texas at Texas, and played KU tough yesterday. The announcers don't even bring them up. Am I missing something here?

    Re: What a joke...

Only two from the MVC, Missouri State screwed again. Sad part is that they gave OSU a cake road, I just hope that Matta coaches so they lose.

Screw Syracuse, they did nothing all year, so I have no sympathy. Drexel, and Mizzu State can complain, not Boeheim.

I also find it interesting that two of the possible cinderella's play each other. Me thinks that the NCAA is doing what they can to make sure there are no George Mason's this year. It is wrong that they would take a bad major team than a good mid major team, sad.

    Re: What a joke...

Kansas St. got screwed. I am sure Huggy is gripping about Tech getting in instead. The Missouri Valley should have had another team. And the mid-majors should have had at least 9 total, if not 10. George Mason showed what kind of balance there is overall in the country last year.

K-State didn't exactly play a tough non-conference schedule. It was ranked in the 200's.

    Re: What a joke...

What I find interesting, and this is just my opinion, is that the NCAA committee seems to have compensated some teams. Although there are only four teams from the Big XII in, if A&M can survive the first weekend they're playing in San Antonio. That's a wee bit of a home advantage. Same goes for UCLA. They didn't get a 1 seed, but they play in San Jose for the Sweet 16. Wisconsin doesn't have Brian Butch back yet, but they get the first weekend in Chicago as a bit of a boost. I know the NCAA tries to seed teams fairly close to home, but it strikes me odd that other than UNC, the #1 seeds have to do some major traveling if they survive.

Why is it that Carolina or Duke always get to play in their own backyard?

    Re: What a joke...

Kansas State was the first team EVER from a power conference to have a 10-6 conference record and have 20+ wins. Their non-conference schedule wasn't anything to brag about but the same thing could be said for MANY other teams who made it. They did win at USC however. They also just got done rolling up Tech by 21 as well...

They have a legitimate grip...but there are always going to be NCAA snubs.

Duke as a 6 seed is laughable.

    Re: What a joke...

Duke will bow out early like they usually do. Maybe earlier this year. I dont see any super dominant teams this year. Honestly this years basketball was kind of mediocre to me. Im not dishing on the talent, but there just wasnt a POP team. Its anyones tournament at this point.

Like they usually do!?! How many times have they been in the final four? I am not a duke fan and I dont know their stats but it seems like they are always in the final eight.
