NFL Pro Day at Iowa State - individual workouts

NFL.com shows that the individual workouts for ISU is on March 20th. Has anyone seen any details on who is participating?

i know DeAndre is for sure.. not 100% sure on the others tho

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

Gene has changed the philosophy in the program and now will only allow seniors to participate. My guesses would be Jackson, Stephenson, Curvey, Brant, Hicks, Flynn, and Davis. Sorry I don't have any definitive names.

Wouldn't you think every senior that started would work out at this unless he was hurt?

Why is www.cyclones.com so quiet about NFL workout day?

Shawn Moorehead is. The seniors can't even use the ISU Football facilities! They have to use the Rec Center. I don't know if that came down from Chizik or Pollard. Doesn't seem like a good way to treat your players that gave it their all.

They treat ex Huskers working out like GOLD in Lincoln. Good advertising.

Re: NFL Pro Day at Iowa State - individual workouts

So what if it has always been done at the rec.

ISU has some dynamite facilities, these athletes devoted many years to promote Cyclone athletics, give them there best shot in a facility they used continously.

It's a good way for the scouts to also promote ISU facilities.

Makes me wonder if it is an NCAA thing.

Re: NFL Pro Day at Iowa State - individual workouts

slycy said it was at the rec and implied it was gene or jamies decision i was just saying it has always been there. i agree it would make more sense to hold it at the bergstrom but i think the aspect of having the weight room and turf in the same building is a plus.

Re: NFL Pro Day at Iowa State - individual workouts

Is NFL pro day open to the public? or will the rec be closed all day while they are there? I think it would be interesting to go watch and see how our seniors do and to see how Jackson is after his injury this year.

What I meant was they were not allowed to use the football facilities for training for NFL day (no access to weights, strength and conditioning coaches, etc). They had to train and workout on their own at the Rec Center.
