    Survivor Somoa

So thoughts on the season? I am loving this Russel guy although I know a lot of people probably hate him. Has to be one of the smartest players to play so far I think. Two hidden immunity idols found without a clue and a 3rd now with a clue and everyone basically following him around while he's trying to find it!

Big move last night with John voting against Laura after the tie. I don't blame him, if you have a 1 in 8 chance of going home if they tie again and have to draw rocks I'd rather take my chances switching alliances. Although I wonder if Russ should have just given Natalie the idol and taken care of Laura without the chance of having 2 ties too but should make things interesting now that he still has that idol to play. Happens every season somehow, someone has numbers in a merge and they wind up not sticking to the plan. Started 8 to 4, now it's basically 4 to 5 with Shambo flipping and possibly 3 to 6 if John sides with them too.

Enjoy this season as well. I just hope Russell can stick. He is a sharp guy, and nothing gets by him, it seems - like talking to John before the tribal council....that was purely his intuition, and it was correct.

I love this Russell guy. He is just playing for the fun. He already has money. Also he is very smart for a guy who looks pretty dumb.

Russell is the man, and is one of the best players to ever play the game I think. I hope he wins.

At some point soon, the individual game has to start. That, and getting people on the jury who would vote FOR you.

I love this season... Russell is great, one of my favorite survivors ever. Of course if he goes, there is nothing left this season, because the other people are just boring.

Yeah if Russell goes then I really don't care about the rest of the boring people. Russel has taken this whole game on his shoulders and just made it fun.

I hated Russell at the beginning but now he is perhaps my favorite player of all time. I find myself rooting for short fat guys.

Totally agree... I hated him @ first and now he's grown on me and is the best hidden immunity idol finder of all time :D

Hated Russell through the first few weeks, but his arrogance has certainly been backed up over the last 4 weeks. Finding 2 idols with zero clues? And then finding the 3rd?

Yeah, he's pretty good at this. I highly doubt he wins though, these strong players frequently get tripped up early. Previews made it seem like they were gunning for Russell next week. I have no idea why he'd let the chicken out - seems even though he did it at night so no one will see, he's trying too hard to create mayhem and that will be his downfall.

I think they have to do promos like that. It gets people all riled up that the bad guy or the guy that aggravates them is getting eliminated. People tune in more for that than for the guys they would just plain like (like Capt. America Terry Diets).

    Re: Survivor Somoa

They won't get rid of him next week unless they blindside him with the idol in his pocket. He seems too smart right now to let that happen. He may not have got a vote the 1st time but his name was brought up and he was on to that. The 2nd time was perfectly played and last night he knew he was safe because the other people were dumb enough to think they could pull one by him. I like how he's played so far, very smart guy.

I think Brett wins it. At first I hated Russel, but he's one of the smartest players I've ever seen on this game since Rob in season 6. John was smart to switch.....I'd be ticked too if my tribe was thinking of using me as a pawn.

If you saw the promos the previous week it made you think that they were going to do the same to Russell as well, and it wasn't even close to what they led you to believe.
