    Waukon/Lansing Cyclones

I'm going to be at a hunting cabin near Harper's Ferry (between Lansing and Marquette) and I'm wondering if there's going to be any chance in hell of me picking up the game on radio. I see that 95.1 out of New Hampton is carrying it, and I'd have to think that Harper's Ferry is within the listening range. If anyone in Waukon, or Marquette/McGregor or Lansing is on the board and can confirm this, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

This is a long ways from Dubuque. Looking at the radio coverage map it was really disappointing how bad it was. We can do better than that.

Al, 95.1 coverage was spotty for me around Riceville this past weekend so I dont know if you would get coverage that far away.

    Re: Waukon/Lansing Cyclones

Wow - I about dropped over when I saw this thread's title. I was born and raised on the family farm about halfway between Waukon and Marquette (closer to Waukon so went to school there).

I can't comment on game coverage from there, only to say with all the hills it's pretty tough to pull much in. My brother has to drive to the top of a hill just to call me on his cell phone.

Anyway, it's cool to see Waukon in title block. You know that Waukon is the home of UNI"s coach Farley - we're pretty proud of that. He was just a few years behnd me in school.

Go Clones!!!.... and Go Waukon Indians!!!

Al...if you have a really good AM radio,1650 am will come in.
Thats what I listen to when at my cabin(just south of Harpers) or out on the river anywhere in the area.
Sometimes I can pull in 1600AM out of CR,too.
    Hope it helps. Good luck.

Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

Bummer. Riceville's definitely closer to NH than Harper's is.

Oddly enough, the one amenity the cabin is equipped with is a BEAST of an AM radio from the early 80's. The cabin is just northwest of Harper's off Collin's Ridge Rd, so it's way up in the hills. I'm assuming yours is in the Waukon Jct area? Hopefully I can nab 1650 or 1600. I just might have to suck this one up, but I'll be doing whatever I can to catch the game.

    Thanks everyone!

    Re: Waukon/Lansing Cyclones

I am from Waukon, sorry to say that is Hawkeye country up there!

Your best option is to try to get a station out of New Hampton or use an internet audio feed.

No internet at the place. It's radio or bust.
