Ha, I thought this was the release from the Athletic Dept.
Until these two gems
- Iowa State owned Drake on the glass. The Cyclones tore down 39 rebounds compared to Drake’s 21.
- Diante Garrett is a true point guard ladies and gentlemen. The junior recorded 11 assists against the Bulldogs while scoring six points and turning the ball over only three times.
Still not convinced DG is playing more like a "true" point. But he has time to make me eat crow.
I agree completely, with the eat crow part. I have to say that I agree with the assessment about forced shots. I love the fact that we aren't looking for him to score. He doesn't have to create opportunities, just take advantage of them. Which I like.
The defensive pressure this team has this year I think is looking really good. It seems everyone can defend very well. I think this is very encouraging.
