    Re: Chances to Beat Mizzou?

it could happen... but i wouldn't count on it. Mizz is a very talented team and has a lot of offense. If our offense can start clicking like it did against Kansas and they don't torch our secondary, I think we have a chance. I still say 30-34 Mizz.

I think the players want the 7th win more than the 6th, they're going to be ready to play

How did Baylor beat them in Columbia? They can't be that unbeatable.

    Re: Chances to Beat Mizzou?

All dependent upon our offense. We'll have to put up 30+ in order to win this game. If we don't then it just won't happen. We struggle against teams with decent QB's and big athletic WR's b/c we can't pressure the QB so he has all day to find somebody. I'm hoping....

    Re: Chances to Beat Mizzou?

How does anyone think we'll score 30+ points in this game? We're averaging slightly over 18 ppg in conference games this year, topping 30 points only once (and we still lost). I think we'll be pretty lucky to top 20 points in this game, which won't be nearly enough to win.

I say 20%. I don't like where our offense is at this point at all.

I went 20%. We haven't shown we can stop a team that runs a decent spread. Our offense has been meh. Our defense plays with fire a lot. Eventually we're going to get burned.

    Re: Chances to Beat Mizzou?

I went with 40%... mainly because I think this may be another game that we can pull a rabbit out of our hat and come out with a win (ie, NU game).

I don't think that we will score more than 30 points, but we won't have to. I think Wally and Rhoads are going to pump this defense up and hold MU to 20 or less points. I hope this is the game where we can capitalize on turnover for a TD (INT or FR for a TD) or take a KR or PR all the way to the house. It has been a LONG time since any of that has happened for us...

If we can play good special teams, win the turnover battle, and play inspired defense... all our offense needs to do is beat our conference game average. I think we have a chance of coming out with a 24-20 win or something similar.

But, we will have to play a great game. If Baylor can do it, so can we.

ISU should win this game. ISU's D is just too good. I went with 90%.

Every time you watch the locker room video after the Nebraska win, it makes you feel like they could win any game.

    Re: Chances to Beat Mizzou?

    50%

The Offense has to be "on" and ready to rock on Saturday. This three and out....bad passes crap just needs to stop. Score early and get confident in the pass game. That is the MAIN point. If they can't put at least 4 TDs up, I don't see us winning in Columbia. The D needs to force 3 TOs too. This would help the offense's effort in getting scores. It is going to be soooooo close by games end I am feeling. And if the O had success throughout the game....I like our chances in a close contest.

Missouri just had a very nice win over K-State and feeling a bit more confident. I hope they are overlooking us and anticipating their pathetic excuse for a rivalry with KU the following weekend.

    Go Clones - smoke Pinkel.

    Re: Chances to Beat Mizzou?

If we can stop Alexander (or get picks on balls thrown to him), we have a chance, but we will need some more offense which means AA will need to do better at throwing downfield (and not skip the balls on quick passes).

I hope Josh Lenz remerges as a frequent receiver.
