Maybe so - ask Paul Rhoads, or any coach - workout/time logs are serious business.
This could be the "out" that Michigan needs to fire their disaster of a football coach. They currently look like a lower-level MAC team.

Which one will throw the biggest pile of cash at Brian Kelly?

As in Bob Stoops? No way he leaves OU on his own accord.

If you meant Mike Stoops, I think Michigan fans would riot in the streets. Rich Rod had way more success than M. Stoops, yet looks to be a flop. Michigan would have to make a big splash with this hire, and Mike Stoops ain't it.

They'd back up approximately 23 Brinks trucks to Les Miles' front door.

Check that. Sounds like Stanford is working on a long term deal to keep him.

I hope the NCAA will apologize to Michigan for not making sure they kept their logs

Brian Kelly will be Michigan's next head coach when and if they need one.

Re: Michigan admits football team hasn't kept workout logs

This is Michigan's own fault. It was a ridiculous hire in the first place.

If they are willing to give the guy 5-6 years to make this team what it is supposed to be, then it was a good hire. But everyone knew that they would just flip out if they weren't elite in 2 years.

They hired a coach that runs a completely different system than what they have traditionally run. It takes a long time to change that much, and if they weren't willing to give him time, they shouldn't have hired him.

Its the same thing that happened at Nebraska with Callahan. They ran run/option for 50 years, and then hired a west coast passing offensive coach, and expected the world in two years. its impossible.

My senior year our team got turned in for overpracticing... It was pretty crazy watching the coaches walk on egg shells after that.

Re: Michigan admits football team hasn't kept workout logs

So what exactly are the ramifications for Michigan if the NCAA actually decided to hold an elite school accountable for something? I would see it as more of an out for Michigan to fire him with cause more than the NCAA doing anything too severe.

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.
