    Katz

    Piece from Katz's blog today:

"Iowa State beat Chicago State by 22 points Sunday with Marquis Gilstrap and Craig Brackins going a combined 4 of 23. That's a good sign."

This guy just keeps pouring on the love.

He has cracked the door for good publicity. We need to bash the sucker in.

If we take care of these early games and bring a great record and a lot of hype into Duke, the publicity will be there in a big way.

Sometimes, you need to be careful what you ask for. I think this team is ready for the spotlight but the spotlight can make some nervous.

    Re: Katz

It is a good sign though. Brackins won't have to score 42 points for us to have a CHANCE.

    Re: Katz

The weight Dendy (once healthy) and Gilstrap especially are gonna take off Brackins this year is gonna be immense. Brackins will be doubled teamed all year long and everyone else is gonna benefit. How big Brackins staying was CANNOT be understated. How great is our depth right now? I know it's early but Christopherson and Staiger will have an abundance of open 3 looks. Diante looks like he can drive and dish w/o TO's with the best of them and Colvin nippin at his heels. Ham looks much more refined in his footwork and post moves, and there's still JVB and Boozer providing energy off the bench.

Granted Chicago (Not A) State had something like 5 assists and 20 turnovers, but that is a good sign and Katz is pumped as should everyone be for this year and season of many opportunistic games!
