    Jake Knott

I thought Jake played very well in the minutes he got in the 4th quarter. His name was called alot, got a few tackles, and was in the position to make an interception. Pretty good showing.

    Re: Jake Knott

To bad he is not a walk on. He is on scholly. And yes, he is good. I am more impressed with him than any other freshmen. Moves very well out there. Add a little more strength and we have a solid 3 year starter

To bad we were not in a position to redshirt him a year

    Re: Jake Knott

Whoops, I for some reason thought he was a walk-on. Nevermind, not bad for a young scholarship player!

    Re: Jake Knott

I loved Knott since I saw him play against Ankeny in high school. I couldn't believe he wasn't being heavily recruited, but it didn't take CPR long to find him. He's got the size and speed to be a solid lb for us the next few years.

    Re: Jake Knott

I see some Adam Carper comparisons with Knott. I really liked what I've seen from him this year. Lots of promise for the future and room to improve.

    Re: Jake Knott

They made a pretty good observation on the call in show Saturday that Knott did not even get a serious look from Chiziks staff...Rhoads went after him almost immediatly and here he is a freshman logging some important minutes in November. The kid has some obvious talent. Makes you really wonder what other diamonds Chiziks staff ignored in this state.

    Re: Jake Knott

Knott already appears to have Jesse Smith's mental capacity for the game and then the natural athleticism that Jesse lacks. Great potential for him.

I hope EA sports gives them good ratings for NCAA '11!

Him and AJ will be a metric ton of fun to watch holding down two LB spots for the next three years.

    Re: Jake Knott

People passed on him because he was being recurited to play baseball and many thought he would play in college, he's a very good baseball player. He's an excellent athelete with better speed than Jesse and a great student with good character. He plays hard on every play and flys to the football, he reminds me a lot of Chad Greenway.
