I am a Pella grad and I havent followed as close as i used to but Carroll Harlan sounds like an amazing game. wish i didnt have to work so i could go watch it. As for the Pella New Hampton game, who knows.

I imagine Solon will win 2a again this year.

I am also biased towards IKM/Manning (1996 grad and former player for Coach Casey) and Harlan (family lives there and played for Coach Bladt) so that is why I am routing for those 2 teams but I haven't followed that close either and on paper, they all look like good games.

Whoo! Go Solon! I grew up on the east side of Iowa City, pretty close to Solon, and have a number of friends from there. Well sweet- looks like two of the state's football champions are going to be about 10 miles apart from each other! Go Little Hawks!

    True and Valiant

I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.

    Re: High School Playoffs

new hampton scored first but pella came back with a kick return. Then they blocked the punt for a td the then possession. then pella got a saftey giving a score of 16-7 with pellas offense never taking a snap.

I have a feeling this is going to be a crazy game.

16-7 at half. Pella's offense is having trouble getting things going (surprise surprise). New Hampton is running all over the place but stalls once they get into their territory.
