    Elgin Cook?

I was just wondering, what recruiting class is he a part of 2010 or 2011?

2011. Huge upside. Father was an NBA guy. He is from Wisconsin.

Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

Figured I'd bump an oldie. Elgin Cook and #15 Oregon are playing Uptempo Nevada Las Vegas in Vegas but not on campus and instead at MGM.

What are you hearing about this Eric McKnight kid? He's raw but athletic. Could be a good one if McDermott has time to develop him.

Oregon looks terrible. They have no offense and are relying on iso/ball hogging. UNLV is working the ball around to their skilled players.

UNLV will choke. They have elite talent, but no coaching

It's quite possible, but right now they look like the better coached team by far.

Hear he's good and is committed to Iowa State and wouldn't ever go to another school or another after that one.

Dana is very Mcdermott like. He can coach 3 star kids with something to prove. Cant coach talented kids who want special attention.

    Re: Elgin Cook?

UNLV is pretty legit. Only loss was by 2 to UCLA who just beat UK

UCLA is still developing. I'll wait and see, but they did not look good earlier. UNLV is a bad matchup for Oregon which doesn't have great offense and relies heavily on athleticism and offensive rebounds. Kentucky was having a hard time with teams they should dominate before finally falling to UCLA.

    Re: Elgin Cook?

Losing to Monmouth, beating Cal Poly by 5, squeaking by UNLV, losing to Wake Forest, and getting destroyed by KU = "still developing". Can you imagine the meltdown here if we started our season that way?
