    Remote Contol Extender

I have a multifunction remote that I would like to use, but want to hide my equipment. A couple of weeks ago I asked about some AV help, but I can't find the thread. Someone mentioned a IR extender or remote control extender that they used. Any idea's.

    Re: Remote Contol Extender

That will only control one device, won't it?

I own this one, it works and is cheap:

    Audiovox TERK Remote Control Extender - LF-IRX - Buy.com

owned it for several years and used it with many different remotes.

    Re: Remote Contol Extender

I have all my equipment in another room.

    I used Russound equipment.

This is similar to my set-up but you may just want an eye instead of the in-wall receiver.

Russound IRK-1 In Wall IR Receiver Kit

At the bottom you'll see that they have a similar set-up but with a tabletop or flush mount eye

Here is the company I bought this kit from.

Keep in mind that this is a wired solution so wherever you put the eye you'll need to run cat 5 to the connection box.
