Ugh! I want Auburn, they just lost so they have a HUGE shot at 7-5 with #2 Alabama on their schedule

No matter how things play out, I think that Indy bowl match-up would be a tough one. I think I would rather get up to the insight or drop down to the texas for just that reason. I seem to remember that when we won it against Miami OH that it was the first time a Big 12 team had won the game in many years. I just don't think that game tends to work out to the advantage of the Big 12 team.

It's looking like the SEC will get two teams in BCS bowls and I just don't see Auburn dropping that far down even at 7-5. Their fans travel pretty well and think that will be tough for a bowl to pass up.

Here is the SEC picking order:

    1- BCS Bowl
2- Capital One (will probably be 3rd team out of SEC this year)
    3. Outback
    4. Cotton Bowl
    5. Chick Fil-A
    6. Liberty Bowl (Memphis)
    7. Music City Bowl (Nashville)
    8. Independence Bowl
    9. Papajohns.com Bowl

I just don't see the Liberty or Music City Bowl letting Auburn slide past them. Could be wrong though.

You apparently come from the camp that thinks the schedule next year automatically means we'll lose 10 games.

Agree, facing Arkansas would be basically a road game cause that is a relatively short drive for their fans who also usually travel fairly well. Also wouldn't be real excited in facing their QB Ryan Mallett and those WR's.

Arkansas will crush us...way too much speed, and we've seen what happens there.

Tend to agree. The Auburn win over Ole Miss hurt.

Arkansas is hoping for Music City or Liberty Bowl due to distance before Shreveport. Given that they whipped Auburn, I don't see them falling to the independance bowl, especially since they travel well and those locations work well for them also.

Independence Bowl would give ISU the worst match up. ISU simply can not play with SEC speed. Auburn would be the only team ISU would have a good shot at mostly because of the mental edge ISU would have.

The Insight Bowl against a Big Ten team would be a better match up but the Texas Bowl would be the best for ISU. We played Army very well and could do the same against Navy.

    Personally, I want the Insight.

It could be argued that a Big 12 team has won the Indy bowl twice. The first time was erroneously awarded to 'bama on a field goal that went just over the upright... but it was good.
