    KSU no bowl??

There only remaining game is @ Nebraska, they need 7 wins. So there is a big chance no bowl game, so if that happens it will eliminate Baylor, Colorado, and KSU!

    Re: KSU no bowl??

At this point, Kansas has Texas left and then Missouri. I think that the MU/KU game will be a toss up, but the fact is that Kansas really only has one chance to become bowl eligible. If ISU beats MU there is no question that ISU will go to a bowl game. I honestly think that we will go either way.

    Re: KSU no bowl??

I think ISU needs to beat Mizzou to get to 7-5 and then hope Mizzou beats Kansas to keep KU out assuming KU can't beat Texas.

That takes care of Kansas and leaves only 8 teams left. Would have been nice to take care of Kansas ourselves earlier and be looking at the chance for 8-4, but I digress.

If ISU gets to 7-5 and Mizzou is also 7-5.

We honestly still might have an outside chance at the Alamo Bowl if all the pieces fall in the right spot. A very long outside chance.

    Re: KSU no bowl??

Yes, Kansas is not a lock to become bowl eligible. Unless A&M wins tonight, they most likely have only one chance left as well (against Baylor) unless their rivalry game with Texas turns into an upset.

A win at Mizzou next week will put ISU in a great position. I don't see A&M getting to 7 wins. Oklahoma might not even get to 7 wins either. A win next week and it opens the door for a whole host of bowl games.

Hell with 7 wins and 2 BCS teams, ISU could go to the Alamo (unlikely I know).

Bottom Line: Too many scenarios in the remaining Big 12 schedule to say anything. A lot will be on the line Thanksgiving weekend.

Why would KU getting to 6-6 assure them of going to a bowl over us? Wouldn't they choose based off of conference record and fan following for the 8th spot?

They played two FCS teams - only one gets to count towards their record.

    Exactly - advantage KU.

This is what I've been thinking forever. It's not a given that KU would be selected over us for a bowl game. We'd probably flock to our bowl game better than they would.

    Re: KSU no bowl??

We would bring more fans then Kansas or Missouri and that is all that matters to bowls.

Disagree. ISU would be 3-5 in the Big 12 and KU would be only 2-6. ISU would probably bring more fans. I think ISU would be more attractive to bowls.

    Re: KSU no bowl??

That's not the only thing that matters to bowls but it is important. The fact thou that Missouri and KU were top 10 teams last year will help them in national appeal
