I think if Texas wins out it goes to Mack Brown. If not, CPR would be a great candidate.

Brown is the only other coach that makes sense except for Snyder. You're looking for the coach from the best team or a real turn-around story.

No one in the rest of the conference has a chance except for Brown, Snyder or CPR.

As long as CPR is 40, then it's a good deal.

Re: Big 12 Coach of the Year

It has got to be CPR. Bill Snyder is no longer gonna get it because KSU is only gonna win 6 games and won 5 last season. Plus KSU is gonna end the year losing 2 straight games and 3 of 4 games. Mac Brown could get it, but Texas was gonna be awesome with anyone as a head coach. Who else would be a candidate?

That might be how it shakes out although it will be tough to vote against Brown if they go undefeated...

No doubt here: I want our man to win it. Period.

But people have been less than awesome at Texas before. John Mackovic comes to mind.

No one. It's a 3 man race and it could be a two man race after next weekend.

Well, Mac Brown is also in his 12th season as the Texas head coach, while CPR is in his 1st.

Re: Big 12 Coach of the Year

I think if they give it to a "turn around team", it will go to Snyder only if they win the North, otherwise I think Rhoads is the best candidate.

Think about it. Now that KSU has lost to Missouri, they will have to beat Nebraska in Lincoln in order to even become bowl eligible and last year KSU was a 5 win team. Not really that much of a turnaround if KSU finishes with 6 wins. (which they will likely do).

Your sig pic is out of date.............

And you're right. We are the turnaround story.

As for Mack Brown, it was more impressive to go undefeated with Gene Chizik on the staff
