Totally agree!!! And on top a very genuine guy to talk to at these Cyclone functions...just very easy to talk to. I wouldn't trade John for anyone.

We have a good crew who seems to tell it like it is. That's rare in today's game.

    Re: John Walters Appreciation Thread

I ALMOST don't care if it's not on t.v. Because get to listen to John.

If only televised games could sync up better with radio...

When he first came to the scene, I was a bit disappointed. But now he has become an A+++ announcer. Tremendous.

A couple of years ago, I heard about a system that did this, fairly inexpensively. Sorry, I can't remember the name. IT was some device that went between your TV and cable box. Kind of like a mini DVR that you could set the video delay on.

John and Eric do a great job of describing the game. You don't have to listen to many other broadcast teams to realize just how good they are.

    Re: John Walters Appreciation Thread

I grew up just south of Ames listening Pete, I never thought it would be the same after him. BUT I love listening to John, I will only listen to the Cyclone radio broadcast whether I have the TV on or not. We are VERY lucky and I'd wager that the strength of our radio coverage is part of the reason we have such a loyal fanbase that gets excited about our teams.

    Re: John Walters Appreciation Thread

It's great that he gets to finally call some winners, because he's received a lot of swift kicks to the nuts having to call a lot of ISU games (and you can hear it on the radio every time he's receiving one).

Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice?
Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

What did it sound like when they called back Marquis Hamilton's TD?

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!
