    McDermott recruiting skills

Ok, Larry Eustachy didn't like to get on planes and it affected his recruiting. Now we have McDermott who can't even get his own kid to go to his school as well as a kid who lives in Ames. Gotta close the deal, man

You don't even consider that Doug may not have been OFFERED by Coach?

    Re: McDermott recruiting skills

He probably wanted his son to do what's best for him which was UNI, and a #1 recruit in the nation isn't easy to get when you are going up against UNC and Duke.

    Re: McDermott recruiting skills

He landed us Brackins, Wesley, Gilstrap, Colvin, to name a few... Mike Taylor. I loved Larry but outside of him adding a few juco's to what Floyd left him we really never had many impact recruits under him.

It's not McD. fault but this won't help if ISU has a losing season.

    Re: McDermott recruiting skills

Doug's a better fit at UNI and the last thing we need here are people whining about how Daddy's boy is getting too much playing time.
