    Brackins tailgating

My group ended up tailgating right next to the basketball tailgate yesterday, and I just wanted to pass along what a cool guy Brackins is. In the hour that I was there, I'll bet at least 50 people came up and asked for pictures with him (my wife included) and he was very accomodating to everyone, including lots of kids. I just thought it was cool that he ws so willing to interact with the fans, and seemed to be genuinely enjoying it. Also, FWIW, I kept an eye on HB at the tailgate, just to try to get a sense of if he was enjoying himself, and for the most part, he seemed a little bored, although Gilstrap cracked him up a few times. Probably means absolutely nothing, but I just thought I'd share.

    Re: Brackins tailgating

I agree with you, as I stood around near the basketball tailgate for a little while before we headed into the stadium. He had people coming up to him constantly, and he always seemed eager to talk to them, thank them for their support, hold kids for pictures. He seems like a great guy.

That said, the other basketball players were great, too. They lined up for pictures without hesitation and conversed with the fans whenever anyone came up to them. It was nice to see.

I ran into Lucca, JVB, and Diante last night. I just said, "hey guys" to them and they actually started up a conversation with me. Our team is full of very mature, nice kids.

Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

You're right, the other players were great also, in fact Gilstrap and Lucca ended up taking the picture for my wife w/Brackins. I singled out Craig simply because he was constantly having people come up to him, and was great with everyone.

I gotta believe HB is under enormous pressure. Probably hard to be a free-wheeling kid when your phone never stops ringing and people keep telling you what your future should be. I gotta believe once he announces the decision (which I think he's already made) the weight of the world will be lifted from his shoulders.

Unless he's extremely sensitive I'm sure he's able to put it all in perspective. He's the number one high school basketball player in the country, able to go to and college he wants to for free. After college he will make millions in the NBA. Sure there is a lot of pressure but just about anybody would trade places with him and I'm sure he realizes that.

I saw Craig at the spring football game. I agree he seemed like a very nice kid. For being a possible lottery pick last spring, he didn't have any "attitude".

Ran into those guys at VEISHEA last year. Ended up talking awhile to JVB (my mom is from Toronto like him) and he seemed like a cool guy.

Yea, heard he was a nice guy.

I said hey to Rashon Parker when he was walking to the locker room in the game. He talked to me a little too
