    ISU vs UNC-Pembroke: GBU

    Good

    - Great teamwork
    - Tons of scoring
    - Fewer 3s
    - Solid defense
    - DG in his groove
    - Colvin looked much more calm
    - JVB back on the floor
    - Boozer drives the hoop and passes? Yee-haw!
    - Bench guys keeping up the intensity and forcing turnovers late in the game
    - Oliver sure loves to hustle
    - Volleyball team handing out tickets to tomorrow night's contest vs Nebraska

    Bad

    - 8 turnovers in the first half
    - Gave 'em way too many 2nd chance opportunities by not crashing the boards
    - JVB quite rusty, but will improve

    Ugly

    - Missing a lot of free throws, 14? Ouch.
    - Richard Simmons in tights

Cant we keep all of these within 1 thread?

Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

    Re: ISU vs UNC-Pembroke: GBU

But if Duke is working a backup plan hard right now................... Maybe

Oliver looked just like the videos we saw when he signed. Very athletic, very disruptive defensively. I think we're going to just go nuts over him in a couple of years. And it's great to be able to have patience like that.

I think we'll go nuts over Dendy all year long this year, and he'll reduce a lot of the pain when Craig goes pro (assuming that he does, which would seem safe).

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

I believe there are SO many positives from this game. But, one ugly stat was the number of UNC-P offensive rebounds (18-20 I believe).

Utah Utes, Illinois Illini. The University of Pennsylvania thought about following this pattern by calling themselves the Pennsylvania Pencils. However, they were afraid their students would start chanting "We're No. 2"

I can't decide if this is bad or ugly:
On the final visit for the most important recruit ever for ISU, Cyclone fans struggle to fill Hilton to 1/3 capacity.

I dont think it really matters to much. He will see 50,000 people tomorrow at Jack Trice Chanting his name. He knows what Hilton is like when its packed and rocking

I'm willing to wager that in the history of college basketball no fan base has ever put so much stock in the attendance at an exhibition game.

Harrison has spent so much time around our university and our basketball program there's no way last night's attendance matters. His knowledge of and feeling for ISU is quite possibly greater than any other recruits exposure to any other school in the country.

If Harrison does not come to ISU, it's certainly not because of last night's attendance.

    Seriously, get real...

I don't know. As an All-American in highschool and a lifelong ISU fan I did want to go to Iowa State.... However, at the end of the day my coach directed me elsewhere and it was just too far from home. If he is an ISU fan, which is a particluar sort, he may just stay close to home and help ISU win the national championship! THAT would be special!

You can't disagree that last night's attendance certainly didn't help. If we had 14k people in Hilton, rocking and chanting his name...well I don't see how that couldn't have an effect on a teenager.
