    Harrison Barnes Audio Analysis

I was the fill-in co-host on Miller and Deace in the Morning today on 1460 KXnO.

Steve Deace and I spend a little over a half hour breaking down the Harrison Barnes recruitment story.

    Check it out here.

Good job on the show this morning! It is about time that we got some quality Cyclone talk!! The only thing that has been discussed on radio all week is how Iowa isn't getting any respect...I mean...how can you fill a week's worth of shows with that and talking about the same thing!? Booooooooooooorrrrrrriiiiinnnnnnggggggg.

I like Steve's take...especially the part of securing a future if things outside of bball go in a tough direction.

I enjoyed Steve's opinion on the matter, but I also think he harped on it a little too long.

Isn't harping the job of a radio host?

first off, nice job this morning chris. for some reason whenever miller isn't there my urge to dry heave goes away???? I know the intention was not to get all of us fanatics excited and get our hopes up, but that's definitely what happened! the both of you made some really great points about how if HB does pick the good guys, he's set for life even if basketball doesn't work out for whatever reason. With how mature and level headed of a kid he seems to be, I would think he has to be considering factors like this. If he is in fact still undecided, hopefully the unofficial visit this weekend makes a lasting impression (is there more than just a bowl game on the line on saturday???). let's hope recency effect plays in our favor!! next friday just needs to get here, before I have an aneurysm

Agreed. His take was great, I just felt the constant wife/baby stuff was a bit much. Good women exist outside of the state too, Steve. Using that as his big thing to hang onto didn't help.

    Otherwise, points were very valid.

I liked Steve's quote, "where can you maximize your profit/earning potential of being Harrison Barnes?"

    Re: Harrison Barnes Audio Analysis

First time I've ever listened to this show...wanted to hear our man Chris Williams.

But, wow, is Deace always that way? He filled 10 minutes with a soliloquy about life. I didn't know whether I was in church, counseling, or listening to a radio show.

I think he has a good point.

One of the biggest homers I have ever heard. It was almost ridiculous. Chris Williams was very good though.

Good luck guys, Im a KU fan. I also hope it's not Duke. I can live with any other choice.

    Who, me or Deace?

I agree that Deace made valid points, they just could have been said much, much more succinctly. Talk about beating a dead horse...that horse was ground hamburger when that segment was over.

So what is the feeling with the KU fans?

Is your name a reference to Hinrich or Ferentz?
