I love basketball, but I'm sorry I couldn't barely make it through a half of an Energy game when I went.

$200 for 24 games of minor league basketball? Not worth the gamble IMO.

This is an honest question because I hear similar things from some people who are basketball fans: What would improve your experience at the games?

Sure it is "minor-league" basketball, but 20% of all of the players in the NBA have played in the D-League and the number is only going to get bigger.

I'd love and appreciate everyone's thoughts so we can improve the experience at Wells Fargo.

Honestly for me its already having season tickets to ISU men's bball, hitting up the occasional women's bball, wrestling, volleyball, and most home FB games. Add in a few barnstormers and bucs games and my fall and winter are pretty saturated with sports.

Re: If ISU Wins Bowl Game...Cool Energy Ticket Offer

Not necessarily a way to fix the D-League games at the Well, but fix the whole league in general....

They need to expand the NBA draft to 4 rounds, and have the big club sign guys to 3-4 year developmental contracts with the parent team responsible for the signing bonus (much like MLB). This would keep that next level of players from going to Europe for the pay check and keep them in the league and make the rosters much more fluid with the NBA teams. You wouldn't have guys going up on 10 day contracts just to sit the bench when they could be "developing" in the D-League instead. Once they get a 1 to 1 match with the parent clubs they also need to have the stars come down for rehab assignments.

It will probably never happen, but it's a thought....

That is a great idea and one that I wish the NBA would seriously consider.

Not enough NBA teams are taking advantage of the "development" possibilities in the D-League, although that is starting to turn as about half of the team's are directly owned by an NBA franchise now. Thanks everyone for the thoughts.

Would that really work considering 2 or 3 NBA teams own each D-League team?

They sound pretty confident that we cannot win a bowl game. Are they smoking? That will be a lot easier than Hawks being national champs. I mean, this is like night and day. Right, Balrog?

The hawks just have to get to the national championship they don't have to win.

I'd love to have Iowa State win their bowl game for everyone to get free tickets, the more people in WFA the better! But, you can't win them if you don't try! You don't even need to get the season tickets, get an 8-gamer for $79 and roll the dice. And if ISU doesn't win, you get to watch 8 basketball games, have a couple $1 beer nights and see some good halftime acts. And hang out with Marty Tirrell... Ok..I've gone too far.
