    Bracketology

As of this morning (3.7.07), Joe Lunardi is saying six Big 10 teams, which includes Illinois, Michigan St. and Purdue, and four Big 12 teams, which includes Texas Tech and not K-State. I personally feel K-State is in if they beat Texas Tech in the conference tourney.

Five big ten teams is a joke. Purdue does not deserve to be in. They have beat nobody on the road. I'm not even sure Illinois deserves in.

If it's 5 big 10 teams, then it's NOT Purdue and Illinois. See the four other locks acrozier listed.

K-State is a joke too. They only have two wins of any quality on the season (USC and Texas).

    You forgot Kennasaw State.

How in the world does Purdue get in? Look at their schedule here.

Same with Michigan State...they won at home against Texas and lost at BC. Besides those 2 games, their non-conference schedule is a joke. Their only big Big 10 win was at Wisconsin. Here is their schedule.

Does 1 upset win per season get you into the tournament now?

Kstate isn't bad. I think they will beat Texas Tech in the tourney. I will take Kstate over Purdue any day.

    Thank you...someone else gets it.

All this hype over what Huggins has done there. Yeah, he's doing a good job but he's not the second coming of sliced bread. 2 good wins on their resume and that's it.

Yes, they'll get in - but that team shouldn't scare the majority of the ones in the tournament.

IMO Kansas State has done more than Purdue.

Lunardi actually has SIX Big 10 teams in. How in the world does the B10 get 6 in?

What a bunch of crock. The Big 10 is all Ohio State and Wisconsin... the others are just lucky to get in.

Yeah, remember what happened last year when they thought the Big 10 was so great? One team made it past the first round...

    Re: Bracketology

Lunardi has Kansas getting a 1 seed, which is certainly deserved, but I get the feeling that they will not make a deep run, much like past years when they are seeded high. I don't know, it just seems like the team lacks a certain fire and emotion (Collins, a freshman, does provide some) that is needed for the tourney.

Also, I wonder about teams as balanced as them; there is no defined go-to guy; can this hurt a team in late game situations?? I guess depth didn't hurt Florida last year.

Forever trying to find a cure for the Dunning-Kruger Effect.

    Re: Bracketology

In my opinion, the key to Kansas' dominance the past several weeks was due to the emergence of Julian Wright. This guy was a different player when we played them in Lawrence as compared to when we played them at home. I think he will be the difference between them losing early like last year or going deep in the tourney.

I could be wrong but I think this is KU's year. Maybe not to win the title but I just see them making a run this year.

One could probaly say this every year but this sure does look like Kansas year! They are stacked and I think getting bounced in the first round a couple straight years is going to give them extra incentive.

UNLV a 4 seed? I haven't heard anything about them all year.
