    Mid-Major Upset

Which mid-major team do you think will pull off the biggest upset in the tournament? Personally I think this will be Winthrop as all their losses are to four top 25 teams on the road.

Winthrop will probably be a 5 or 6th seed. They have a chance to make a long run. But to me the biggest upsets are the 15 seed vs. 2, or 14 vs. 3.
Examples from the past that we all know about, Hampton and Northwestern St. Or for Kansas, Bucknell.

I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone.

    Re: Mid-Major Upset

Everybody is jumpin on Winthrop's bandwagon and I can't say I've bought into it yet...I really like the Catamounts from Vermont, I think they got Albany left in their conf. championship game and they should win, they've only got 1 conf. lose to maine and an impressive out of conf. win against Boston College. I can really see them getting far...another team which I HATE TO SAY, bcuz UNI is a 2nd fav to my Cyclones, but Southern Illinois, they've been a pretty impressive team in the games I've seen (which we do get a lotta MVC games in CF and the addition of ESPNU helped)

Virginia Commonwealth is my pick...especially now that they don't have to worry about Jeff Capel coaching them into the ground anymore...
