    Touchy subject about Bo, But...

Couldn't Bo be used in situations that may put his lack of knowledge of playbook, or blocking ability, to best use? The few runs I have seen, seem to show that he has the ability to make plays. I realize he's not maybe an every down back, but maybe minimize the playbook, and either get him the ball, or use him a decoy.

Yes, I know there is alot more to being a RB, and have heard of fumblitis. However, a good play action fake left, and QB roll out right, will keep the LBs honest if they know they have to protect the middle, and our QB's can run or pass. It seems if they used this scenario enough, rather than just once or twice, so Ds couldn't key on it when BoW came into the game, it could free up more options.

This being said, I am a HUGE CPR fan, and even have mutual friends of his, but yet to meet personally. I totally trust his judgement, but just thought I pick some brains. This obviously is in no way taking away from Arob, as he is the man, but this may give him a nice break, and keep everyone fresh.

I don't intend to start the normally Bo thread, just tryiung to see if anyone else see's the potential of having 2 rbs. Please don't beat a dead horse, the second rb could be anyone, but Bo seems the most logical answer, especially for the spread.

CPR said you can't put a player on the field that is limited in what they can do. In CFB any slight advantage for a defense is significant.

There's no point in playing Bo if we have a better guy to play the position. Period. He's got time, and when he's ready, he'll play.

Re: Touchy subject about Bo, But...

I've heard everything from he doesn't know if he's going right or left, to he puts the ball on the field too much, to he's a mantador of a blocker. Probably some truth to allt he above.

    In CPR we trust.

Bo isn't on the field (or even on the depth chart) most likely for a reason. And I doubt it's limited to Robinson and Schwartz comes before Williams in alphabetical order.

Just because he was ordained by the message board masses two years ago, doesn't mean that he IS in fact the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I thought Bo was now on the depth chart at #2 just ahead of Beau. The name I didn't see was Swartz; is he hurt?

Bo is going to go down as the most talked about per carry back that ISU has ever had.

I would have agreed 2 or 3 weeks ago. The current depth chart and comments from the Rhoads make it clear that the running back pecking order has changed.

Re: Touchy subject about Bo, But...

From The 11-2 Rhoads Report, Part Three | Cyclone Fanatic

Is it anything that Jeremiah Schwartz did or didnít do to drop?

PR: Earlier in the season, when Alexander was playing well and gaining yards, 80-some in the first game and 100 for a stretch of games, I told you that he was still leaving yards out there on the field. As he got more snaps, he got better reads and his totals went up. Jeremiah went through that same problem of not keying runs like he should and not hitting runs in certain spots. We thought he had the opportunity needed where he should have been making those yards in those games. We needed to give somebody else an opportunity.
Looks like it's Bo's turn to show what he can do...

He might be, I don't pay much attention to such things. Who's out there is who the coaches think should play. Good enough for me.

I was speaking to the seeming multi-daily threads about "Bo this, Bo that". Not directed to anyone here. But Bo has been off the charts pretty much all year. For whatever reason, that hasn't sat well with some people it would seem.

He'd be way to predictable for defenses.

Re: Touchy subject about Bo, But...

I saw Bo doing sprints down I-35 this morning, 2 semis swerved to miss him in fear of him running straight through them. He then stiff armed a bus sending it into the ditch but was nice enough to stop and put all 30 of the kids on his back and got them to school 30 minutes before the bus would have. Anyhow, based I that I think he should get a lot more carries this weekend then he's been getting!

Nope, that honor (now that Bo actually has carried the ball) goes to Webster Patrick.

Haha I forgout about Patrick. And another member of that RB class, Tyease Thompson, holds the record for most arrests per carry.
