    Angry Storm OS 5.0 email issue

    So I upgraded to 5.0 for the storm this weekend. I'm having the issue that NONE of my email accounts that I had linked to my BB are working. I've tried re-inputting passwords - nothing, re-setting up the account- nothing. I don't even get a confirmation email that my account has been setup.

    Anyone else having this issue?

    Are you on an Enterprise Blackberry account? I received a message on the support site that I need to make sure the Enterprise server is set up to handle your handset's upgrade.

    I haven't upgraded because my company is literally years behind the times on these types of upgrades.

    Did you resend your service books? I know you said you did your passwords again but if you don't resend the service books it could still be hanging.

    And if you're not on Enterprise, it's completely the opposite of everything said so far. I didn't have any issues with 5.0, but a few weeks ago i was having issues with my email and the BES not processing the data messages, so my inbox was getting them and keeping them. HUNDREDS. Anyway, i got on the phone with Verizon tech support, and literally was only on the phone for about 15 mins total and they had it fixed. It was my best experience with them by far.

    Thanks for the feedback. I ended up taking a 1/2 hour lunch that turned into 2 hours to take my phone to the Verizon store to fix the issue. So what was the solution, a hard, wipe EVERYTHING from the phone, reset. They tried everything and nothing worked. I was about to walk out with a new phone but they didn't have any, so they tried the hard reset and so far it seems to have worked.

    Anyone else notice anything weird since the os upgrade?

    Problem: You're using a blackberry
    Solution: Go get a better phone

    My phone has been rock solid since the upgrade, my wife's phone on the other hand......

    Took a few tries to even get the download to take, once it did worked fine, for a day. Now she has no contacts, names not showing up on caller ID or it just says "name" but yet in her call log all the names show up with the numbers, even though nothing is in the contacts book. Cannot figure this one out at all and haven't had the time to get to Verizon to look for a fix. I also need to try reloading all her info from backup but I am a bit worried I might load the info from my phone by mistake(had to use my desktop manager for her upgrade).
