Because the playoff system is Iowa is severely flawed. There is a 2-7 team that made the playoffs in class a.

If a 2-7 or 3-6 team can make the playoffs, I would not put it past the IHSAA to let them play at home as well...

This is technically the substate round, not the state playoffs.

If it is past their 9th game, it's the playoffs...

Yeah, it's too bad that teams with bad records are in the playoffs this year, but enjoy it! Starting in 2010-2011, the IHSAA voted to move to a 2,056-team playoff bracket that will require bringing in teams from 16 states and all 11 U.S. Minor Outlying Islands. Iowa Legislature is expected to pass a constitutional amendment requiring homeschoolers to field their own athletic teams, all of which would play at the 4A level to fill the gap. Finally, teams with records below .000 will gain automatic berths in all classes.

    True and Valiant

I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.

I don't see anything wrong with allowing this many teams in the playoffs. In every other sport all teams have an opportunity to win a championship, regardless of their regular season, including basketball, baseball, softball, etc.

LOL. I'm really surprised the high school I went to (Camanche) didn't make the playoffs this year. I mean, they only finished 0-9 and lost their last game to 1-8 Tipton 38-6 (or something close to that). They deserve to be in the playoffs just as much as a 7-2 team...
