    Re: 29,435 now

I guess I need to revise my guess at when we would break the record I guessed last friday or today. I am gonna play it safe and say middle of next week since it looks like we have been getting about 200 a day recently

    Re: 29,435 now

This is starting to scare me a little... If we reach the 30,000 mark this week, I will be more excited and more concerned at the same time. A jump in season ticket sales elevates the level of expectation. I just do not think people will be happy with a 4-8 record this year.

imagine how much it will go up in the fall once all the incoming students buy their tickets. Most students buy them in the fall.

As ISUFan22 confirmed, 7,000 of the available 7,800 student tickets are accounted for in the 39,435 number.

The total currently includes 7000 student season tickets that have not yet been on sale. There is going to be a total of 7800 student season tickets available next year.

I wish the total was right now 39,435 then we would easily hit 40,000!

As long as the coaching staff shows that it is an improvement over the latter, I don't think a bad record will hurt us in the ticket sales for next year much. As long as Gene puts a team on the field that ISU fans can be proud of and shows that he can coach at the Big XII level, I think fans will give him some slack next year when it comes to tickets.

Just like McDermott in basketball...for our record, we had really good attendance numbers (ticket sales at least).

    Re: 29,435 now

mine probably got there today, so my numbers are in... When did we hit 30,000 last year? July? its March 5th guys, 3000 new season ticket holders, a 10% increase We just need to keep the rest of the holders onboard and recruit.. I have a feeling come the end of march, Jamie Pollard will launch a major ticket selling campaign.. Hell i would go door to door to sell tickets for us, I love having that stadium full and i would do anything to have 55,000 every game.

    Re: 29,435 now

How many tickets do we need to sell in order to consider everything a succes? A new record? A sell out? Personally, I'm happy with anything over the 30,000...but is that enough money to move forward with building plans?

    What does everyone else think?

I'd think 35,000 would be a fantastic success. I would LOVE 40,000...but I'll be happy when we hit 30,729.

Best part is, I don't think I'm being overly optimistic with 35,000, especially because it's only March and the Spring Game/Tax Returns are still to come.
