    RETURN to glory

As I was watching the game on Saturday a friend of mine said this is a return to glory. As we take to the field and hopefully become bowl eligible over the next 4 weeks they'll be many outsiders that will jump on the story and treat us as though we've never had success.

Hold your chests high and remember we have a lot of football tradition over the last 10 years(5 bowls to be exact). It would be a slap in the face to Reggie Heyward, Nick Leaders, Ellis Hobbs, Ennis Haywood and all of the rest, to simply stay quiet and agree that we've never done anything before.

It is a RETURN TO GLORY for a very proud football program.

    Re: RETURN to glory

If we get A&M and a bowl game I'd be a lot more apt to agree. We're close, but 5 wins isn't enough. We've cleared a number of hurdles this season, but getting to a bowl is the one that the rest of the college football world uses to judge us. Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves.

    Re: RETURN to glory

ISU needs to handle their business in College Station. aTm is thinking the exact same thing ISU currently is.
Keep chopping wood. One negative and this can all be gone. Continue to build on momentum. But don't get ahead of ourselves.

    Re: RETURN to glory

Glory years to me are the mid '70s. We could truely play with anyone in '76 and '77.

I told my friends the same thing-- Coach Rhoads may take us back to that winning football. He joins the last guy to win in Lincoln -- Earle 'Jelly Roll' Bruce.
