    Bell, McDowell

It's too bad they didn't stick around. We could've used the depth in the secondary with Benton out, now.

No kidding, and how do you think Bates might've fit in with AA's injury? Just shows why it pays to work hard and be patient. You'll get your fair chance eventually.

I would rather have Tiller than Bates.

    Re: Bell, McDowell

I still think Bates would have been better off considering a shift to another position. It would have been nice to have him on the team still, mainly because that would mean he wasn't the distraction that he was last yr.

Yep, what a couple of quitters they were. Don't feel bad for them at all. They felt quitting on the team midseason was the best resolution for themselves...

I do not feel bad for them, but I feel bad that the team will be missing something they could now use.

    Re: Bell, McDowell

On a defense that has no superstars, we have to play as a team. With quitters like that, they are like cancer and can influence others negatively. Those two would have compromised the team atmosphere and hurt our team. We are better off without them. Imo

I said the same thing when posters where saying that them leaving wasn't a loss. All it takes is one injury and we are hurting bad

Don't know the particulars other than they quit, but sometimes its addition by subtraction. Its nice to have depth and some gameday experience, but its better to be a cohesive unit and play together as a team.

not a clean break, just a fracture. Wouldn't come out of the game until they x-rayed it at half time.
