Pollard---Keep the home game next time

This is something that's been eating at me since it was announced.

I don't care if it made financial sense or not, I think it can be said beyond a reasonable doubt that it cost us a win.

One win didn't look like a big deal in the grand scheme of things when it happened, but it certainly matters now.

You can't always think with your wallet, Jamie.

might gain us a win next year. with our cheap *** fans Pollard has to find cash where he can. we already have a large segment of fans who thought they were done giving in the late 1970's.

I agree. This was not the year to give up a home game.

It'll even out next year when we'll need the win with a harder schedule.

No worries. It was still the right call by JP.

OH...and congrats to JP for being the FIRST AD to bring a VB and FB victory home from Lincoln, Neb.

I'm assuming since all of you JP haters blame him for the losses, you will congratulate him in victory as well.

Re: Pollard---Keep the home game next time

    1st: not this thread again.
2nd: The stadium didnt cost us the win. A lot of poor play cost us the win, and you cannot say that it "cost us a win".
3rd. If Snyder really is turning things around there, and CPR is turning things around here, we'll be damn glad to be playing that on a neutral field next year. If you believe it cost us a loss this year, this makes it a wash, plus we get a million bucks more.

    and 4th, once again:

Dumb. Winners win anywhere! Cut the crap. We just won in Lincoln for the first time in 33 years. Arrowhead is nothing compared. A completely different football team is on the field right now.

What about next year when we dont have to play at KSU.

I would rather take a game in Arrowhead this year when making a bowl is easier. Compared to next year when we would have to play AT KSU when wins will be a little tougher to come by.

Also, it seems like that loss really spurred the team to another level after that game. They came out firing at the kansas game, nearly won that, and now have won 2 straight.

To me Jamie Pollard is sitting pretty. Every team we have is poised for success with coaches who are outstanding people on and off the field/court.

hey jamie haters...you are going to have to start looking at really lame reasons to hate on Jamie now. This post by the OP qualifies. Pollard has the football program on the ups, the womens bb and volleyball program as contenders, wrestling poised to contend and the MBB poised for a great season. Plus lots of facilities upgrades and major increased revenue in the face of state budget cuts and cheap *** fans. Without anything solid to hate on him for look for these idiots to start turning over stones to find faults where there are none.

Re: Pollard---Keep the home game next time

Since when do home games guarantee wins? IF we played KSU at home, maybe the JT wind tunnel would have effected us and we lose by 30. You just never know.
