    Heft after the game

The guy was very emotional in the booth. What a day that had to be for him after everything he has seen in his time with ISU. Anyone know if the radio high light clip can be found anywhere?

    Re: Heft after the game

I've been searching for it for almost an hour now.
I'm afraid I'll break down and cry once I hear it.

Yes Eric said that was the second best day of his life and was choking up when he said it.

I sent both he an John a text of congrats, and a note that I know how much it meant for them. We have all heard them describe the heartbreak...today, they, and all of you, got to experience something real special.

    Re: Heft after the game

What true Cyclone wasn't very emotional after this Win?.......I've sat through enough heartbreakers to proudly admit that I broke down crying after the final interception by Jesse Smith......it was uncontrollable and just came out - it felt like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders and I'm not even a player.....one of the best feelings I've ever had.

Wins like this make all of the angst and heartbreak throughout the years worth it. Once a cyclone, always a cyclone! GO STATE!!

Not crying, but I just stood there and went WHOO!!!, etc. and so on for a long long time with my daughter cheering me on too.

    Cyclone
Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:
    'Struck by a Cyclone
It Comes from Iowa and Devastates Evanston Town'

Thanks Jon. Things sure look a lot better than they did a few months ago for ISU.

Thanks Jon. Today is a GREAT day to be a Cyclone as are all days, there is room on the bandwagon Jon, turn from the darkside!

As Austin said, Pete saw all this and if it is possible for him to be even more happy, he is now.

I didn't do that, but my stomach was so churned up from the emotions afterwards I almost blew chunks.

I was hooting and hollering so much during that game, my kids almost cried because they didn't fully understand what was going on.

Wow what a game. This is one of those days you'll never forget.

Wow, I was VERY excited after the win but after reading all of these posts and seeing videos, I am getting close to breaking down. Man, I love ISU....
