    Michael O’Connell

Way to man up. Played great.

I thought he was going to house that fumble on the goal line but the play was blown down.

Love watching walk ons play well during big big games.

He had a chance to take that fumble back all the way. Too bad they blew the runner down.

    Re: Michael O’Connell

Don't forget the pick he had, plus one of the more important plays of the game....the breakup on 3rd down when LJ was beat.

I thought to myself, would a 5'8" James Smith make that play? I wasn't so sure. Great game by O'Connell.

    Re: Michael O’Connell

Ive known Mike for years, used to play basketball/baseball with him when we were younger and spent time with him at FCA at Iowa State last year before I graduated and he is a true Cyclone and great man. I like to see (former) walk-ons do well especially Mike. Way to go Mike you have done an excellent job here at Iowa State and I'm way proud of you!
