    ouch Mike T!

I have not said much about Taylor's play because he has won some games for ISU, but tonight he was horrible. Terrible turnovers, bad fouls, bad shots, he had it all going tonight.

    Re: ouch Mike T!

I don't think he took too many bad shots...in fact he didn't shoot too much at all because Tech took him out of the game. Obviously was their gameplan. Mike had 7 or 8 assists as well. I've seen him play much, MUCH worse than he did tonight.

That last possession was bad. I know that there was only 6.4 seconds left, but take the shot and hope for a foul. Don't pass the ball.

    Re: ouch Mike T!

The worst part was that he chose to drive to the side of the floor that had all 5 tech players on it. He played poorly but hell maybe he needs a bad year to teach him how to play.

    Re: ouch Mike T!

A experienced gaurd would have taken the ball directly to the front of the rim, no hesitation score or make the official make a call....?

Unless "Mac" has changed this is what he would have wanted him to do..?

I have seen it many times in "Mac's" teams that he has coached.

    Learning..... Hope so

We are best when we don't have a "main man" and everyone contributes their share.

I'm sure Mike got caught up in the moment..

They make the Throw we need a 3...

They miss take it to the front of the rim...

That is what "Mac" was telling them before the free throw.

While Taylor's TOs killed us, the fact that Jiri was the only one that could hit a shot (with the exception of WJ at the end) killed us just as bad.

Agreed. Mike had the ball at the end, but we certainly didn't need to be in that position, either.

Anyone know how many points they scored on his turnovers?

    Re: ouch Mike T!

Tonight's ending, reminded me off the end of the Drake game, no one wanting to take a shot.

“One day we’ll be in here celebrating a Big 12 championship,” Rhoads said. “That I can promise you.”

"I hope to coach here until I retire," Hoiberg said.

    Re: ouch Mike T!

Oh don't blame the game on that last play. There was a ton of times when we had various players miss wide open shots. Jiri really was the only one who had a half way decent game. Give Tech some credit. They played good defense at the right time and on the right players.

It's not quite as good a finish to the season as we all wanted, but these guys still exceeded expectations and man are they playing better than the beginning of the season or what!

This will probably be the low point in Cyclone basketball for quite some time. We get some fresh talent in next year and the current players know G Macs system now. The future looks bright to me.

    Re: ouch Mike T!

He also had 7 rebounds and had improved shot selection tonight. He only took 5 shots, that surprised me. He will get better in the offseason, glad he's a Cyclone.

    Re: ouch Mike T!

Taylor would have had double digit assists tonight if guys knocked down some shots. He did a great job of finding the open man. Lets not forget Jessan missing a wide open layup on a nice pass from Taylor. Jiri did the same thing. 7 boards and 7 assists. Had off night shooting but give the guy a break
