    Interesting Thought

Or at least I think it is. How big was it that Tiller came in and performed well last Saturday. At first thought, maybe it wasn't that big of deal but think about the offensive recruits that were there. Jarvis West and Pierce Richardson. Those two got to see the QB they would most likely be playing with for the real beginning of their career. AA is important but I think these guys saw Tiller as the guy giving them the bulk of their throws. I don't know if this has been brought up before, but I think it may have been a blessing AA did have to sit so these guys could not only see Tiller, but see him perform well and possibly he was what drove them over the hum to commit.

Not a bad point. Either way, something clearly went well this weekend as we should have a great shot to get every recruit we had on campus.

It also shows that Freshmen and redshirt Freshmen get PT at ISU. Some of the recruits may really want to get on the field soon.

I don't know that I would be so quick to credit the atmosphere. According to the writeup in the Rag, that was the smallest crowd we have had since Mac's final game back in 06. Considering this was a winnable homecoming game for a team that still has a fighting chance at a bowl, that isn't very impressive. And honestly, it felt like the crowd really started out dead. The team really had to show something to get the crowd into it. I was a little worried that if Baylor would have gotten another early score, it would be the 05 Baylor game all over again.

....Anyways, whatever it was, I'm glad to see some success on the recruiting trail. So far, CPR has done just about everything he could to make a believer out of me.

I was mentioning how dead we all seemed in the beginning to revkah. I was concerned by that as well. I'm glad that the team and crowd both got going.

As for that last part about making a believer, amen. I'm not sure what else there is for a guy to do when he comes into a team that just went 2-10. Sure, 6-1 sounds awesome, but who expects that turnaround in one year?

We really got an impressive coach, and his impressiveness grows every time we see more substance, instead of hype. It's really rewarding.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

It's a good thing Tiller performed well because the game was not over at half time.

    Re: Interesting Thought

Regarding the atmosphere of the stadium. It might have been dead in the beginning but I felt like the entire crowd cheered for the full duration of the game. It seems like a typical game is the crowd cheers for the first few series then completely dies out after that.

I'd rather we seem weak in the beginning and still cheer loud midway through the 3rd and 4th quarters. The wave the stadium did and the cyclone power cheer midway through the second half said a lot to me.

The OP brings up a good point. Hadn't thought of that. Could very well be true.

Agreed. I think that the crowd did a good job cheering on the Cyclones for the duration of the game. Even at the end we were loud. Kudos to the fans that showed up.

    Re: Interesting Thought

I thought it was a great atmosphere and the game was a blast. The crowd may not have been as big as some others but most of the ones that were there cheered and really got into the game. I think most that were there had a great time and I have heard a number of comments about how much fun the game was and enjoyed that the fans got into the game as well.

    Re: Interesting Thought

Do you think it was also convenient from the angle that now Nebraska needs to prepare for either QB to play on Saturday. I think it makes a big difference in scouting and preparing for either AA and/or Tiller...
