    Direct TV Question

I am moving...in the middle of my 2-year contract with Direct TV. I plan on keeping the service but was wondering what the fee was to get out of the contract.

    Anybody know?

    Re: Direct TV Question

Doesn't it start out around $250 and sometimes you can get it prorated?

    Re: Direct TV Question

If you're keeping the service I don't think you have to break your contract.

According to this, you can at least keep your equipment so you don't have to repurchase.

DIRECTV If I move, can I take the receiving equipment with me?

You usually take the boxes with you, leave the satellites, and theyll put a new one on your new place.

It cost us $275 to get out of it in August after one year, I believe.

Just be aware that if you use their "free" moving service, you will be signing a new contract.

Call movers connection if you are keeping it. They will setup a new dish and wire everything at your new place for free.
