Re: one win away from equaling to the last two year's

CPR has done a good job with these guys. Herman and Wally were good picks and I think the team is understanding more and more what they have to do. Using Lenz last night was a great idea and I like how we have a few key guys but the coordinators quickly see who else is in position to help out on certain nights. Every time we do this it gives the other teams more problems to address and makes us harder to prepare for.

I know that I should now this stat: when was the last time we won in Neb?
    90s wasn't it?

I would love to beat the Huskers but I don't like that they are coming off a loss and will be focused. Would have rather had them over looking us.

Injuries and a motivated Husker team likely means a tough game for ISU.

Way to early prediction assuming no ARob and a less than 100% Arnaud.

    Nebbie - 35
    ISU - 13

Winning in Lincoln would be huge, but not likely. Even when Nebby was horrible and we had our best teams we didn't get it done. Needless to say winning in Lincoln is not an easy task.

What I'm pretty sure on we'll prepare well, CPR will have the kids playing with all of thier hearts.

What made that the worst was the fact that we had a lineman get 2 hands on the ball for an interecption and it would have been over in OT :(

Not to dog you at all, but I think people get too hung up on whether or not a team is looking over someone. I got ticked off last year when people talked about Michigan looking past App. St. They didn't look past them, they got their **** rocked.

If you come out and put a good first drive together and punch the other team in the mouth it doesn't matter where they are looking.

Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

    Yeah, I can see that.
Even if they don't look past us you know they'll be giving it their all in practice this week.

Re: one win away from equaling to the last two year's

I really wish AROB was 100%. We have some very winnable games left on the schedule. Check out these sandwich games.

@Texas A&M - They play @ Texas Tech next week and they are already on a 3 game losing streak and got pasted by K-State. If they get hammered by Texas Tech they could be a hurting team.

OSU in Ames in November - Classic Sandwich game in cold weather for a south team. Hopefully they are still missing Bryant. They play Texas the week before and Texas Tech the week after.

CU - This is at home and they are not a great team. The problem with CU is they seem to be improving.

@ Mizzou - We are between K-State and Kansas. I think might have a few more losses on them before they play us which may help us. (unless they are stuck on 5 wins then we could be in for it)

For some reason I don't see us getting past 5 wins without our team being healthy. And I think we are going to look back at those 1st 2 conference games and puke. That is my prediction.

Re: one win away from equaling to the last two year's

I am excited to see what happens. This season reminded me of last season (without the close call wins).... until yesterday! I like the new coaches and I like the way the team is playing. Yes, it is frustrating that we have had a realistic shot at 6-1 at this point. However, over the past couple of seasons the wins were also games that could have gone either way. This team is starting to control games. I like our chances of doing well this season. No need to wait for next year. This year is it! If they make it to a bowl game I will drive to Nice, get on a plane for 12 hours and sit and cheer with you guys!
